Waterloo Region –  The Region of Waterloo is continuing public consultation on Stage 2 ION, light rail transit (LRT) from Kitchener to Cambridge.
At the last round of Public Consultation Centres (PCCs), a preliminary preferred route was presented for public feedback. Waterloo Region – On Saturday, September 16, residents will have an opportunity to tour the ION Operations, Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) as part of this year’s Doors Open Waterloo Region event. Waterloo Region – GrandLinq has informed the Region that final asphalt paving operations on Caroline (Erb to Allen) and Allen (Caroline to King) in UpTown Waterloo have been postponed. The work, which was set to start yesterday (June 11), will be re-scheduled at a later date.
 
Final asphalt paving is postponed due to anomalies found on Saturday (June 10) during final testing related to cathodic protection. Cathodic protection significantly reduces rusting...

Waterloo Region – GrandLinq has advised the Region of Waterloo that they have re-scheduled final asphalt paving operations on Caroline and Allen in UpTown Waterloo, June 11-13. The work, which was originally scheduled for June 6-7, was postponed earlier this week due to weather.

Waterloo Region – GrandLinq has advised the Region of Waterloo that due to the rain expected today, they will need to make adjustments to their final asphalt paving schedule in UpTown Waterloo.
 
The weather delay means that final asphalt paving on Caroline (Erb to Allen) and Allen (Caroline to King) originally scheduled to take place today (June 6) and Wednesday (June 7) will not occur this week. A new schedule for this work will be announced once arrangements...
