Feature Consultation: ION Stop Design Concepts
All ION stops will share a set of common elements. They will include functional design features such as ticket vending machines, system maps and bike racks, etc. They will also feature custom elements, such as landscaping, art and treatments to the anchor wall, which will be located on each platform. These custom elements will help make each ION stop unique to the neighbourhood or urban centre in which it resides. Note: ION concepts were originally presented in June 2013.
About the aBRT Stops
The ION adapted Bus Rapid Transit (aBRT) stops will be built in 2014, with service starting in 2015. The Region of Waterloo will design and build the aBRT stops with the support of the City of Cambridge.
